Assistant Expedition Leader with expedition experience in Polar, Jungle, Ocean and Mountainous environments. My experiences have enhanced my ability to improvise, adapt and operate calmly in a range of settings and circumstances.
As an aspiring Expedition Guide and Survival Consultant, I am always looking for opportunities to support Expedition Leaders within the Adventure Industry in order to expand on my techniques and skillset in backcountry survival and expose myself to more environments. I am an organised, logical, dependable and meticulous person in expedition settings. I can offer valuable support as an Assistant Guide by taking load off the Lead Guides and Teammates on expeditions that are of a variety of style, objective and length.

Details
I am an expedition and private chef, sailor and mountain leader with more than 7 years experience cooking and exploring in a wide variety of countries and on vastly differing terrains and climates around the world.
Operating in a variety of countries and environments has taught me an array of cooking methods, and allowed me to palate a broad spectrum of cuisines: reeling in, filleting and cooking a fresh catch whilst sailing across oceans, foraging whilst trekking through jungles, hunting for game in the high arctic using traditional Sami methods, or fuelling mountain expedition teams in rough weather…I have learnt to adapt my cookery techniques to be able to create delicious and nutritious dishes in wild and challenging locations.
My passion for cooking originated from my upbringing on a farm where I learnt to live by the ‘country code’, shooting, fishing, hunting and cooking wholesome meals using homegrown produce.
During the last six years, I have challenged my culinary interest whilst working as a private chef on high performance sailing and expedition yachts for high profile clients. I have since been able to combine my culinary skills alongside my work as a Wilderness Guide, producing nourishing dishes whilst on expeditions in contrasting terrains and climates around the world.

Details
During the pandemic I worked as the primary contact, at Secret Compass, for initial concept development for TV and Film projects, and private/bespoke expeditions operating in the worlds most far-flung locations. This position strengthened my creative skillset and ability to think outside the box.
